One thing no one ever seems to learn is that meteorologists (the weathermen) are about as useful as you are yourself at predicting the weather, even with all their tech and education. Ironic. Anyone can easily pick up and learn the weather patterns and signs of changes in their own areas just by paying attention and observing. Only then can you end up with a far more reliable forecast than anyone else. As the Native Americans always have done. Rule #1: Never trust the forecast 😂

Your vapor barrier should be on top of your floor joists. Always put it on the warm side of the building that way it keeps the vapor/moisture on the outside where it can evaporate. The way you have it installed now it will hold the moisture and condensation against the bottom of your floor joists. Just a little helpfull info. You should've added wire mesh to your floor while it was in the air. If you add wire mesh to the bottom log you should add it to the bottom of the floor. Besides it would give support under insulation in the floor. Just a thought. Why not have critter deturant X 2? Jonesy, USA

Should have cut groove in log where plywood and log meet slide plywood in grove

as others have said, the Poly should be between you and the insulation. also, with the insulation, you really shouldnt have to cram it on the ends, it should be laying flat and neatly like it is in the middle of the joists, cut off the excess. when you stuff it and crumple it up like that, you reduce the air pockets inside and thus reduce its R value and effectiveness.

I would go ahead and cut out ground beef, steak all that my grandma has it (she lives on a homestead herself) and what she eats when she has flare ups is jello, and anything without seeds, if you aren’t careful you can end up having to get your intestines removed. (You don’t have to cut out red meat RIGHT NOW just try introducing other proteins seeing what settles in your stomach better)

Rockwool is not toxic. The reason for the gloves and mask is the slag spinning makes the product very fine and sharp like fiberglass. Rockwool would have given you the added benefit of fire resistance and it is hydrophobic.
